1.297 million tons, Indonesia has become China's largest importer of stainless steel semi-finished products

In 2021, Indonesia's semi-finished steel exports to China will reach 3 million tons, most of which are slabs and stainless steel slabs, and some carbon slabs.

This weight accounts for 22% of China's total imported semi-finished steel in 2021, and the import share is significantly higher than 10% in 2020, making it China's largest supplier of semi-finished steel.

Most of the above export products are supplied by Dexin Steel Co., Ltd. The project of Indonesia Dexin Steel Co., Ltd. is jointly constructed by Tsingshan Iron and Steel Group, Delong Holdings and Indonesia Morovari Industrial Park Company, mainly producing carbon steel and stainless steel.

According to Chinese customs data, in 2021, Indonesia will export 3 million tons of semi-finished steel to China, about 97,000 tons of stainless steel sheets, 1.2 million tons of semi-stainless steel products, about 422,400 tons of carbon steel sheets and 1.3 million tons of carbon steel billets.

Meanwhile, China's imports of semi-finished steel, including carbon steel and mixed steel, fell by 25% last year, reaching a record 13.7 million tonnes in 2020.
